Facebook defends 2018 algorithm changes, blames 'partisan divisions' on history
Three years ago, Facebook executives changed its algorithms to promote "meaningful social interactions" in an effort to encourage users to interact more with friends and family, but internal documents suggest that the change to post rankings may have had the opposite effect.
